What’s inside
The curriculum
Eight short modules. Most people work through the videos in an evening, then use the community as they go.
The maths, properly
Why a correctly matched bet removes the gamble, how lay stakes and liability actually work, and how to check every bet before you place it.
Your first qualifying bet
Start to finish on a real welcome offer: picking the market, sizing the lay, and understanding the small qualifying loss you accept.
Free bets: SNR and SR
The two kinds of free bet, why they are worth different amounts, and how to choose odds that extract the most from each.
Choosing your exchange
Betfair versus Smarkets on commission, liquidity and market depth — and why the cheapest commission is not always the best answer.
Bankroll and record keeping
How much to start with, how to keep funds moving between bookmaker and exchange, and how to track every offer so you know your real position.
Reloads, accas and price boosts
Where the ongoing value sits once the welcome offers run out, and how to judge whether an offer is worth your time.
Keeping accounts healthy
Why bookmakers restrict accounts, what behaviour draws attention, and how to make your own account last — without ever breaking their terms.
What comes next
Where matched betting ends and value betting and arbitrage begin, so you can decide whether either is worth learning next.
The rules we teach by
There is a version of this subject that gets people into real trouble. We do not teach it, and we will not help you do it.
- One account per person, per bookmaker. That is the only account you should ever open or use.
- No accounts in anyone else’s name. Using another person’s identity, documents or bank details to open a betting account is fraud, not a strategy.
- No hiding who you are. No burner devices, no defeating identity checks, no misleading a bookmaker about your details.
- No tips and no guaranteed income. We teach a method and the maths behind it. What you make from it is not something anyone can promise you.
- Every bet checked with a calculator. If the numbers do not work, you do not place the bet.
The community is the part people keep
The course gets you started. The private community is where you ask what to do when an offer looks odd, a lay does not match, or a bookmaker does something unexpected — and where members post the offers they are working through.
£49 one payment, no renewal

Questions
Before you join
How much money will I make?
We do not publish income figures, and you should be wary of anyone who does. UK welcome offers are a finite pot that most people work through over a few weeks. What comes after that depends on the time you put in, the offers you are shown, and how long your accounts stay open. Some people make a useful side income; some try it and decide it is not for them.
Do I need any experience?
No. The course starts from the beginning and assumes you have never placed a bet. If you have already done a few offers, start at module three.
Do I need more than one bookmaker account?
You will open an account with each bookmaker whose offer you want to work — one account each, in your own name. You never need a second account at the same bookmaker, and you should never open one.
How much do I need to start?
Enough to cover a qualifying bet at the bookmaker and the lay liability at the exchange at the same time. We cover realistic starting figures in module five. Never use money you cannot afford to have tied up.
How long does it take?
The videos are short — an evening is enough. Working through the offers themselves is the part that takes time, and you can go at whatever pace suits you.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. You have 14 days to change your mind under UK consumer law. Because this is digital content, you will be asked at checkout whether you want immediate access — if you say yes and start watching, you give up that right, which is standard for online courses. If you have not accessed the videos, email hi@smartmoneybetting.com within 14 days and we will refund you in full.
Is matched betting gambling?
Done correctly, each offer is covered on both sides, so the outcome of the event does not change what you end up with. But you are using gambling accounts, mistakes cost real money, and the accounts are designed to encourage you to keep betting. If you have ever struggled to control your gambling, this is not for you.
18+ only. Gambling can be addictive — please play responsibly. Free, confidential support is available from BeGambleAware and the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133. Nothing on this page is financial advice. Offers, prices and bookmaker terms change; always check the current terms before placing any bet.
