Short version: Outplayed and OddsMonkey are now owned by the same company and sell almost identical tier ladders at £249.99, £349.99 and roughly £1,000 a year. If you are brand new and want your hand held through the welcome offers, Outplayed’s walkthroughs, live chat and larger community make it the easier start. If you want to pay monthly rather than yearly, or you care most about racing, each-way and dutching tools, OddsMonkey has the edge. Neither is a bad choice; the mistake is paying for a year before you know you will use it.

We are an affiliate of both, which is exactly why this comparison names what each one does worse. The thing most comparisons miss: they share an owner
Search for this comparison and you will find articles that treat Outplayed and OddsMonkey as bitter rivals. That was true for a decade. Since December 2024, though, both brands have sat under Liquidity Trading Ltd, a Gibraltar company, and the effect is visible in the pricing: the two tier ladders have converged to the same numbers. Outplayed still carries the Profit Accumulator heritage and the bigger community; OddsMonkey still has the more transparent monthly billing and the deeper racing toolkit. But if you are expecting one to undercut the other, that era has ended.
Why does it matter? Because the question is no longer “which company is better” so much as “which front door suits how I want to work and pay”. The rest of this guide is organised around that.
Pricing side by side (August 2026)
| Tier | Outplayed (annual) | OddsMonkey (monthly / annual) |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | Platinum £249.99 | Starter £39.99 / £249.99 |
| Mid | Diamond £349.99 | Advanced £49.99 / £349.99 |
| Advanced | Pro £995 | Pro £149.99 / £999 |
| Top | Elite £3,000 | Elite £3,000 |
| Trial | 7-day free trial, card required | Free trial on sign-up |
| Refund | 14 days on Platinum and Diamond; Pro excluded | 14-day money-back guarantee |
Two practical differences hide in that table. First, Outplayed leads with annual pricing and does not publish a monthly price on its pricing page; third-party sites quote around £39.99 a month but we could not confirm it, so treat Outplayed as an annual commitment unless you are told otherwise at checkout. Second, OddsMonkey’s monthly plans exist on every tier, which makes it the cheaper way to test whether reload offers are worth it to you for a couple of months before committing to a year.
On an annual basis both entry tiers work out at £20.83 a month. Our free vs paid guide walks through how many reload offers that needs to pay for itself; the short answer is two or three decent ones a month.
Welcome offers: near enough identical
Outplayed lists 50-plus sportsbook sign-up offers and quotes a combined value north of £800, plus 140-plus casino offers on the Diamond tier. OddsMonkey quotes 50-plus sign-up offers at around £779 and 60-plus weekly reloads. Given the shared ownership, we would expect these lists to keep converging. For a new member the realistic figure is the same either way: somewhere between £600 and £900 from the welcome offers, depending on how many bookmakers will let you open an account and how much time you put in over the first six to eight weeks.
The difference is in presentation. Outplayed pairs every offer with a video walkthrough and a written guide that assumes nothing. OddsMonkey’s guides are thorough but more text-led. If you learn by watching someone do it, that matters more than any tool.
The Oddsmatcher and core tools
Both services are built around a live oddsmatcher that compares bookmaker back prices against Betfair, Smarkets and Matchbook lay prices and ranks them by rating. Outplayed’s covers 80-plus bookmakers. OddsMonkey’s covers a similar spread. In day-to-day use they are equivalent for football qualifying bets and free bets, which is 80% of what most members do.
Where they diverge is the specialist matchers. OddsMonkey ships an Each Way Matcher, a Dutch Matcher and a Racing Matcher on its lower tiers, alongside a calculator library that stretches to Lucky 15s and Yankees. Outplayed keeps its Extra Place Master and 2UP Master on the Pro tier, and its Price Boost Tracker on Diamond. If horse racing offers are your thing, OddsMonkey gets you further for less. If you mostly work football reloads and casino, the Outplayed ladder is fine.
| Tool | Outplayed | OddsMonkey |
|---|---|---|
| Live oddsmatcher | Yes, 80+ bookmakers | Yes |
| Matched betting calculator | Yes | Yes |
| Each-way matcher | Higher tiers | Yes |
| Dutching tool | Guides; matcher on higher tiers | Dutch Matcher |
| Acca tool | Acca Catcher | Acca Finder |

| 2UP / extra place EV | Pro tier | 2UP EV and Extra Place EV (tier dependent) |
| Casino offers | Diamond and above | Yes, tier dependent |
| Profit tracker | Yes | Yes |
If you just want a calculator without a subscription, ours are free: the matched betting calculator, each-way calculator and dutching calculator all use the same formulas the services do.
Support and community
This is Outplayed’s clearest win. It runs seven-day support with live chat, and its members regularly name individual staff in reviews, which is a good sign that problems get solved by people rather than templates. The forum and Facebook group are the largest in UK matched betting, so an odd bookmaker term or a settled-wrong bet has usually been seen before.
OddsMonkey has a forum, Facebook groups and chat and email support. It is perfectly adequate, but the review pattern is different: the recurring complaints are about site speed and about cancelling, rather than about the quality of help.
What the reviews actually say
Outplayed holds 4.4 out of 5 on Trustpilot from more than 2,650 reviews, with roughly nine in ten giving five stars. The one-star reviews cluster around one issue: the free trial needs a card, and people who did not cancel in time were charged for a year. That is a process trap rather than a scam, but it is worth setting a calendar reminder on day five.
OddsMonkey shows 3.5 out of 5 from around 960 reviews at the time of writing (we could only reach the Irish mirror of its Trustpilot page, so check the live UK figure). The star mix is still mostly positive; the lower score reflects recent one-star reviews about site slowness, cancellation friction and mobile layout. Neither service is accused of failing to pay out or of misleading offer guides, which is what actually costs you money.
Which should you pick?
Choose Outplayed if
- You have never placed a lay bet and want a video for every offer
- You value live chat and a big community more than a spreadsheet of tools
- You plan to do casino offers and are happy on the Diamond tier
- You are fine committing to an annual plan and will use the 14-day guarantee properly
Choose OddsMonkey if
- You want to pay monthly and stop when the reloads dry up
- Horse racing, each-way and extra places are your main interest
- You want the widest calculator set built in
- You prefer text guides and a leaner interface
Consider neither yet if
You have not tried a single offer. Work through two or three welcome offers with a free service such as Team Profit and our calculators first. You will know within a week whether the process suits you, and you will have made £50 to £100 before you spend a penny on a subscription. Our service comparison tool lets you line the options up against each other.
Our verdict
For a first-timer, Outplayed. The walkthroughs and support remove more of the early mistakes that cost beginners money, and the 7-day trial is long enough to clear several welcome offers if you are organised. For anyone with a few offers behind them who wants to scale into racing or wants monthly flexibility, OddsMonkey. Given the shared ownership, we would not be surprised to see the two products continue to merge; when that happens we will update this page.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use both Outplayed and OddsMonkey?
You can, but there is little reason to pay twice now that the offer lists and tier prices mirror each other. Pick one, use it for a month, and switch only if a specific tool is missing.
Is OddsMonkey cheaper than Outplayed?
On annual plans they cost the same. OddsMonkey publishes monthly prices on every tier, so it is cheaper if you only want one or two months.
Which has the better oddsmatcher?
For everyday football offers they are equivalent. OddsMonkey’s racing, each-way and dutching matchers are available on lower tiers, which makes it stronger for racing.
Does either offer a free trial without a card?
Outplayed’s 7-day trial requires a card and converts to a paid plan if you do not cancel. OddsMonkey offers a trial on sign-up and a 14-day money-back guarantee; check the current terms at checkout as they change.
